Kannawidan, Intayon Ilocos Sur!

 


The Philippines is known for its rich traditions of celebrating festivals, one of these festivals is the Kannawidan Festival that celebrates Ilocos Sur’s founding anniversary every 2nd of February, this is usually celebrated by exhibits that showcases every product of each municipality of Ilocos Sur namely Vigan, Santa, Narvacan, Sinait, and other parts of Ilocos Sur. 

Each exhibit is represented by each municipality by selling their products such as bagnet, garlic, turmeric, cucumber, basi, vinegar, balicucha, longganisa, and more. This is celebrated to preserve the rich culture and products of Ilocanos. 



Kannawidan Featival is also celebrated through parades, colorful firework displays, and free concerts during Ilocos Sur night from famous artists such as December Avenue, Silent Sanctuary, Ben&Ben, and many more.

                 Time flies by really swiftly. Another 2nd quarter is done, and I have learned plenty of things in ICT. Making HTML Files in Notepad has been an enjoyable experience. The exer activities were a lot of fun to encode even though the keyboards we used were stiff. Learning the basic HTML tags and attributes was fun, especially because we were using the computers to make activities 1 up to 20 which were the simple tags to the frames that were a little complicated to understand.                  The major problem that we have encountered during this quarter of the school year was the rushed lessons, not only in ICT but in all subjects due to the continuous suspension of classes caused by the parade of typhoons that occurred.
